Grandma Jettie's Pecan Pie

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 3 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup broken pecans

Instructions
 

  • Boil sugar and syrup together
  • Pour this mixture slowly over eggs, stirring vigorously
  • Add butter, vanilla, and most of the pecans (save a few0
  • Add remaining nuts to top as a dressing
  • Bake in a 350 degree (F) oven for 50-60 minutes
